PEP?: I would think prophylaxis is over the top and not necessary. If you are concerned go take a test but in general the risk is very low but of course depends on what disease you are concerned about.

PEP not needed: There is very low to no risk to HIV transmission due to french kissing even with cut on lip. No need to take PEP. Test for baseline and reassurance needed. PEP not needed: Kissing is not a mode of transfer for the HIV virus, even with cuts or sores present. However, kissing may lead to other forms of sexual activity where condoms are needed for protection. Have them and use them. If you have been sexually active in the past but have never gotten tested for HIV before, its a good idea to get a baseline test now just so you know your status for sure.
