Yes: There is evidence that solodyn can decrease the efficacy of birth control pills. To what degree I do not have a specific number on, but backup protection recommended. In addition, pregnancy not advised while on solodyn!

NO: IT DOES NOT!! That question was settled 30 years ago. That said, this is an expensive antibiotic. Probably you will be much better by using SPIRONOLACTONE instead. It goes very well with the OC, is not an antibiotic, is much more effective for adult women, and costs only $5 a month. Usual dose 100mg a day. Side effects usually absent.
