Other options: It is not necessary to take emergency contraception if you are on birth control pills. Regardless a one time use of emergency contraception 7 months ago would not have any impact now. It is out of your system after 5-7 days. If you do not like the type of periods you are having now consider changing birth control methods. A Mirena IUD is one to consider
