Hi doc, my dad is 83 yrs old and off late he gets a throbbing headache after he burps. it lasts for hours?

Serious issue: Headaches at that age after a simple burp could mean something sinister such as a slowly leaking aneurysm. It could be nothing at all but it's not worth taking a risk. Please visit his doctor as soon as possible for a full evaluation. He may need a CT Scan as well

Headache and burps: Hmm. You say your Dad is 83 but you are 82? Very interesting. I am happy to do 2nd opinion on both of you to try to figure out what is going on. Is it the headache or the burp that goes on for hours?
