A member asked:

Spasmodic red color bleeding- 5 weeks postpartum. does not continue. stops and then reappears after a few days. doesn't even soak through a napkin.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely normal: Light vaginal bleeding can persist for several weeks after a delivery. It is not uncommon for it to occur intermittently. If you are concerned regarding the amount of bleeding or if you are having any vaginal pain, fevers/chills, or any concerning symptoms, see your doctor for evaluation.
