I have recently had sores on my scalp at first i thought it was dandruff but it getting worse?

May not be dandruff: Sores on the scalp fit more with folliculitis (inflammation around the follicles). There could be many reasons for this. If they are painful, I would recommend starting with a salicylic acid shampoo (like Neutrogena T sal shampoo). If the sores persist, I would strongly recommend an evaluation by a dermatologist.
