How do ssris lower libido, and is there any way to prevent it? mine is already very low without even taking the lexapro yet.

Don't be afraid: Lexapro is one the milder and better tolerated antidepressants, so no harm in trying it. Also talk to your doctor to explore if there are any other reasons why your libido is low other than antidepressants. If your libido is low due to SSRIs, then discuss your options.
