A member asked:

How does skin cancer affect organs and tissues?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Depends on what type of skin cancer. Basal cell mainly stays on the skin, but some type can be more aggressive and spread to neighboring tissues, same is true for squamous cell carcinoma of the skin. Melanoma however can get very aggressive and spread to lymph nodes and other tissues and organs away from the skin area it was first found.
