You : Don't say if any biopsies or polyp removal were done. Be sure to not take Aspirin or other nsaids. Razor blades sound like a possible tear or fissure. Best to call your endoscopist and inform them of this situation and let them decide how to follow this.

I had a colonoscopy and a gastroscopy yesterday. A biopsy was taken during the colonoscopy. So I know its normal to see blood in your stool. Ive seen dark and bright blood now and I just passed a black tarry like stool. Is this normal?

Does occasional black specks in stool and some on toilet paper mean blood? Clean colonoscopy in 2015. 37 year old female. No smell and the rest of stool is normal in color.
