Could be nerve pinch: This could be a pinched nerve because of the way you describe it in maybe coming from the brachioplexus but depending on which finger or could be coming from the neck. You need an a evaluation. See your physician

Nerve: This fleeting sharp pain has the characteristics of a pinched or irritable nerve. The location of the nerve may be in the neck or in the shoulder. A neurologist would be best qualified to diagnose and localize this symptom. You may want to wait to see if the problem resolves but if it persists or worsens, consult a neurologist who will order any appropriate tests in order to make a diagnosis.
