A member asked:

I recently got diagnosed with hymenal remnants and need surgery, should you explain what and how much pain is involved and how long recovery takes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very little pain: Hymenal remnants are usually very small and do not obstruct the vaginal opening. Many surgical procedures involve local injection of "numbing" medicines and soreness if tampons are applied within one week of the procedure. General anesthesia (going to sleep) is rarely used for this type of surgery.
