See the dentist: You should go back to the dentist that prescribed the antibiotics. Antibiotics typically take at least 24 hours before you will notice a difference. So if it has been longer than this call the dentist. The antibiotic may not be effective in your particular infection. You may need to have a procedure done that will clean out the infected area, remove the toxins, and get some drainage.

Abscess: I am not sure why you are on two abxs. As far as pain, antiinfallmatories seem to work best with the deep ache that is associated with tooth pain. See your dentist or even a specialist, ie periodontist or even endodontist if it is more than just perio. They can prescribe pain meds as well as treat/abx regimen. Depending on how long you have been on the abx, there is a period before they "kick in".

Suggestion....: The only thing that you can do is to rinse with warm salt water rinses, take the prescribed antibiotic, and some otc pain medication such as advil, motrin, aleve (naproxen) or what you normally take for a headache. If that is not enough in the meantime, you need to call your dentist and ask to be seen on an emergency basis.

See a dentist: You can try salt water rinses. However, the best option is to visit your dentist and get treated.
