A member asked:

Stools are typically #6 on chart. is that bad? gas in morning and after dinner.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bristol stool #6: Altered gut function may reflect malabsorption of food (like gluten, lactose), intake of poorly digested food (tried the low FOD-MAP diet yet?), drugs, artificial sweeteners. Sometimes its more complicated--IBD (Crohn's/ulcerative colitis), infection/ bacterial overgrowth syndrome, dysfunctional intestinal transit, ischemia, rectum problems, pelvic pathology outside gut, IBS (Irritable Bowel).
