Painful: ovulation (called "Mittleschmerz") is fairly common but what you are describing sounds more like Irritable Bowel -C (C=constipation). A trial of PROBIOTICS may be useful (eg: ACTIVA") but a visit to your PCP or Family Physician is most likely your next step! Hope this is helpful Dr Z
