Don't blame yourself: Please don't blame yourself for ectopic pregnancy; it was definitely not your fault. There are several potential causes for an ectopic. A history of chlamydia can lead to tubal occlusion, but no one asks to get chlamydia. Without a test to see if your fallopian tubes are occluded, there is no way to even tell if that is the reason for your ectopic. Most common reason is idiopathic - unknown.
