Can be normal: It is not uncommon for young women to occasionally have changes in the duration, frequency or consistency of their menses (periods), though less common with consistent estrogen-containing birth control. You did not state your age or how long you have been taking your birth control, what you are taking, or if you have been compliant. If your symptoms persist or keep recurring, then see a clinician
