No: There is a pill you could take to discourage drinking alcohol. Antabuse (disulfiram) causes people to become sick when they drink alcohol and over time people often avoid alcohol to avoid getting sick (or they just stop taking the pill). Revia (naltrexone) may help reduce the tendency to drink excessively by blocking the opiate response that for some people is coupled with their alcohol intake.
