A member asked:

What causes a bartholin cyst?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Plugged duct: A Bartholin Gland Cyst forms when the duct that carries fluid from the gland to the outside world gets plugged. The fluid backs up making the gland swell. The gland can also become infected and form a Bartholin Gland Abcess. Best wishes!
