Many possibilities : If you're sexually active please do a pregnancy test ASAP and seek urgent attention if positive. Otherwise may be due to infection or a variety of cycle problems (could just be early but could also be polycystic ovarian syndrome or other menstrual cycle disorders). Best to see a doctor for examination and tests this will help determine the cause.

No worries!: OccasionaI menstrual irregularities are very common and generally not a cause for concern. That said, if a woman has other symptoms, including pelvic pain, itching, bad odor and the like, or if the irregularities are persistent or worsening, I recommend a check up. Dr. Anne
