Respiratory infectio: The most likely cause of your symptoms is a viral respiratory tract infection which generally runs its course in several days to a week. Treatment consists of rest, good fluid intake, Tylenol and cough syrup. Worrisome signs would include persistent fever, sweats, chills, chest pain, wheezing and worsening cough with purulent sputum. See your physician if you're not showing gradual improvement.
