I had cold sore before we moved. the cold sore went away & in my new house the cold sore came back but on other side of lip? germs in old & new house?

Correct, in a way: When the patient is in the old house and has the lip cold sore (herpes sore), the germs are in the old house. When he goes to the new house and gets the lip sore while there, the germs are in the new house. If he goes to a third house, the germs are in the third house, regardless of whether or not he forms a lip sore... because he (not the house) carries the germs. Herpes lives inside his body.
