Need exam and eval : Pain under the right rib area is not typical for gastritis. Gastritis pain is usually in the middle upper part of your abdomen. Your discomfort maybe related to problems with your gallbladder or liver or pancreas. Please go see your doctor to have a thorough exam and work up if this pain persists
