Depends: How long to you try... And if your cycles are regular. Record your temperature during several cycles as during ovulation the temperature is higher. If you past 6-8-10 cycles and no pregnancy ur bf needs to be examined: his sperm count/activity. If it is all ok with him y need to be going to some tests. However, u r young and i would not rush to mds. Meantime enjoy each other!
