Degenerative change : Snapping is most likely bony changes at the numeral head (ball of the joint) that is rubbing bone or tendon. Weakness may mean true muscular atrophy or just pain response. See a PMR doc or orthopoedist for a full eval and treatment plan which will probably include x rays. NSAIDS, injections, physical therapy. You should know for sure! Good luck
