Normal: You could do a pregnancy test to be sure but it's common for such irregular periods to occur. We always ask patients to make sure that no tampon was left in from the previous cycle inadvertently. However, it's possibly that this was a more irregular cycle with different hormone changes which caused more of a gradual spotting and it likely won't turn into a full period.
