Possibly dry: Burning is a common sensation for drying of the corneal surface. Try an artificial tear. Sometimes inflammation can also cause burning. An environmental chemical exposure may produce the same symptoms.

There are many therapy options: best to start naturally (warm compresses, diluted baby shampoo scrubs) & move up a "ladder approach" to antibiotic cream, otc artificial tears.
