Sounds benign: It sounds benign. Could be an ingrown hair or a plugged follicle. It doesn't sound like an STD or anything else suspicious. If it gets larger or more painful you could always take a picture and upload to one of the doctors who are in your network. However, I suspect it will resolve fine on its own.
