Many causes: Dandruff can have many causes including not enough hair brushing, diet, dry skin, yeast, seborrheic dermatitis, not shampooing enough, certain skin conditions, some illnesses such as Parkinson's disease, reaction to hair or skin care products, and mental stress. I suggest trying Neutrogena therapeutic hair care and a consult with a dermatologist if the condition continues.

Many options: Dandruff is driven by infestation by a little yeast, and there are a host of easy treatments though no cure. You have to manage it and this is easy. Over-the-counter dandruff shampoos once or twice a day usually manage it. Sulfur and coal tar are old-fashioned, and ask about selenium compounds. For tough cases, your physician may offer ketoconazole shampoo.
