I'm sorry that you: are unable to observe (or at least hear via fetal doppler) a heart beat at 8 weeks since this doesn't bode well for the pregnancy. However, until a miscarriage has completed itself or a health care practitioner has diagnosed fetal death, there is still hope. It's very important for future pregnancies to find out why these miscarriages occurred. Some causes can be treated medically. Dr. Anne

Time to get tested: If this most recent pregnancy fails again, it is time to have the products of conception and additional blood testing for infections done by the MD. A Fertility MD( OB GYN) is the most likely to be able to do so.
