A member asked:

My baby has blood in his nappy. should i take him to the dr?

Depends: You provided no age or other data to go on, so no clear recommendation is possible.Kids often develop a scratch at the outlet that places a thin layer of bright red blood on the surface of stool. It is more common when they have bulky or dryer stools. This is minor & will self heal.Dark blood mixed well within the stool would come from higher up & be more worrisome.
