Get assessment : A variety of ways. A good place to start is an ear exam by your primary care practitioner as sometimes will identify ear problems that affect hearing. If remains unclear/in doubt then they can refer you for an audiogram

Audiologist: Thorough hearing tests are performed by specialists called audiologists. Some are in free standing offices and some are part of an otolaryngology(ear,nose and throat) practices.

Audiology: go to an audiologist for an audiology test your primary doctor may need to do a referral if your health plan requires it.
