Should my child get regular hearing tests?

No: Not unless your child has a documented history of hearing loss or recurrent/chronic ear infections.

Depends on situation: Most newborns are screened at birth now in larger hospitals. They are routinely screened every year or two in the schools & at well checks at 5 yr. I like to arrange a hearing test anytime a mom feels baby is not responding.
