A member asked:

Finished 24hr urine sodium (for pots syndrome)& voided 3.5l.excessive?on high salt diet, fluids & florinef.felt so lightheaded & thirsty day of test.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal: The amount of fluid you urinate will EXACTLY match the amount you drink (and eat). Think about this: if it weren't so, over time, you'd blow up if you even retained a tiny amount, or shrivel up if over-diuresed. Kidneys do an amazing job. Since you're receiving "fluids", 3. 5L isn't unexpected.
