Sounds like: your headaches are consistent with a spasm in the temporalis muscles. The back edge (posterior border) of the muscle is approximately where you describe. I a tense contracted state or spasm it will puff up and protrude hence the bump. Do you happen to clench or grind your teeth? Consult with a dentist who can make appropriate diagnosis and treatment recommendations or referral.
