A member asked:

I was recently seen in the er and given a shot of toradol. how long does it usually last?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The half life: or time it takes for the body to get rid of one half of the dose is reported to be 5 to 6 hours. Total elimination would be expected to take about 24 hours. Your pain relief will be variable depending on the severity of the pain and it's cause, but close the 5 to 6 hour range.
