Probably no worries: Surgical removal of a varicocele cannot have any such effect on the penis. Probably you're just observing more closely and more attuned to your genital anatomy because of anxiety, the discomfort, etc. If the "discomfort" is actual pain or any redness or swelling, get it checked out ASAP. Either way, return to the doctor who did the surgery. S/He probably will reassure you about your penis.
