X-rays & exam: Dequervians disease will cause pain in the first compartment of your hand however if you had trauma or your whole hand hurts you need a full physical exam , X-rays and you need to rest , ice, and elevate your hand take ibuprofen 800 mg three times a day after checking a pregnancy test. Tests for carpal tunnel syndrome and other conditions indicated. See a hand surgeon and good luck. Don't worry
