Refer to answer: This is very vague question. Back of the heel, or bottom of the heel. Usually should heal within four weeks. If persist beyond that time, refer to a physician to find the cause, could be gout, diabetes, arthritis, and thyroid problems.

Pulled muscle : A pulled muscle or strain can heal in a few days if it is not severe. Initially ice, rest, and nsaids can help in the recovery. A more severe strain can sometimes take a week or more to recover.
