How to taper ativan safely? i started at 0.5mg nightly for a month and down to 0.25mg in a week. i can't seem to go lower as i develop itch and rash..

Taper ativan: If you have been on ativan for a long time it may take months to taper off of the medication. I would try 0.25mg every other day for at least a month. I don't know why you have a rash and itching when you are coming off the medication unless you are using it for itching.
