IF related to dairy:: It depends on why a person does not tolerate dairy products. People generally tolerate the fat in dairy products, unless they have a gall bladder problem or other fat malabsorption issue. Yogurt has much less fat than cheese. Most common dairy intolerance is of the sugar lactose. The amount of lactose in yogurt varies a lot depending on how well the living cultures (microbes) digested the lactose.
