Many ?causes of inability to urinate without straining. Voiding dysfunction could be failre to relax voluntary muscle external urethral sphincter. Straining to urinate can be trying to empty bladder against a closed spigot. So try and relax sphincter and allow involuntary bladder voiding contraction. Also possible uterine prolapse, polyp, urethral diverticulum, multiple sclerosis or even UTI
