Blood donor: It's bad science (I think it's a misinformed policy), but donor centers won't accept a donation from someone with hemochromatosis even under excellent control. I deeply appreciate your desire to donate blood as a philanthropic act. I wouldn't criticize you if you forgot, but talk with your personal physciain and perhaps the blood bank medical director.
