i'm 44 and i had the uterine ablation done a few years ago but i continue to have heavy/painful periods. now i want another baby, possible?

Doubt it: Having a uterine wall that is strong/ lush enough to maintain a pregnancy is not guaranteed by menstrual cramps.Your OBGYN or a fertility center could do some serial studies to see if you could carry a pregnancy.
