The detection window: of single dose of Valium (diazepam) for a urine drug screen is 7 days. However, high dose and or long duration of use can increase that window to up to 30 days. A healthy, well-hydrated young adult male may eliminate Valium from his system in fewer than 5 days, but I wouldn't count on it. If you have a valid prescription, in most cases, the test will be reported as "negative." Dr. Anne
