Likely Gallbladder: Great question: foul smelling bowel movements is a product of a change in bacteria. The most likely source is a change in the biliary system or pancreatic system from gallstones (gallbladder attack); especially if the pain is more in the upper right. If more on the left, than you may need an EGD for diagnosis, followed by a colonoscopy if negative.
