Bacterial vaginosis?: The main cause of discharge w/ strong odor is bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of vaginal bacteria. Vaginal procedures like tubal ligation or endometrial ablation (tubal ligation, Novasure) might trigger it. So does unprotected sex and so do STDs if at risk or not tested before the procedures. Contact the doctor who arranged the other treatments, follow her advice for diagnosis and treatment.
