Probably reflux gast: Alcohol is notorious for causing excess acid production & reflux. These would explain the burning symptoms you experience. NO imaging test can detect reflux, since it is a physiologic problem (in the way stomach functions) not an anatomic one. The best test is the Bravo probe, but other esophageal pH monitoring techniques are possible. Have your doc use it to confirm diagnosis & get treated soon!

Wine: You may be allergic to the tannin in the wine which causes an irritation in the stomach I would suggest that it is unimportant but if it bothers you donot drink wine
