Probably reflux gast: Alcohol is notorious for causing excess acid production & reflux. These would explain the burning symptoms you experience. NO imaging test can detect reflux, since it is a physiologic problem (in the way stomach functions) not an anatomic one. The best test is the Bravo probe, but other esophageal pH monitoring techniques are possible. Have your doc use it to confirm diagnosis & get treated soon!

Wine: You may be allergic to the tannin in the wine which causes an irritation in the stomach I would suggest that it is unimportant but if it bothers you donot drink wine

Repost since details were missed:Had a CT for RLQ pain.After contrast was injected, had the typical warmth, taste, smell.Then sharp, burning pain in RLQ. Like salt on a cut. Scan came back fine.Still pain-most after eating, drinking, sitting upright.
Confused by lab variation. Over past 2yrs my lipase has been checked intermittently. At one lab I'm always slightly elevated, but at another I'm normal. Initial symptoms of burning stomach for which I had a normal endoscopy and CT scan. PPI helps. ?
