One year: It is recommended that couples attempt pregnancy for 12 months before starting an infertility evaluation. 80-90% will get pregnant during that time frame. There are 3 tests that need to be done. 1. Ovulation testing 2. Semen analysis 3. HSG Xray to confirm the fallopian tubes are open. These are the first steps.
