A member asked:

Dysport: how much in quantity is 30 units? half a thimble full? dermatologist suggests this amount for deep forehead creases, when expressionless.

Depends on dilution: 30 units could be about a tenth of 1cc (roughly one drop) or could be a full cc or more depending on the dilution. 30-50 units is a reasonable dose for the flabellum frown lines.

That depends: Dysport (like botox) comes in a dry form that must be rehydrated before use. The amount of fluid used to rehydrate the Dysport will determine how many units per cc. In my practice i generally dilute a 300u vial of Dysport with 2.5 cc of saline. In this case, 30u would be 0.25 cc which is less than 1/2 a thimbleful. If more fluid is used for the dilution then 30u would be a larger volume as well.

Dysport dosing: The dosing guidelines are using about 60u of Dysport for forehead. That would be equivalent to 20u of botox. However, sometimes half the normal dose of Dysport is used in forehead to reduce the risk of droping eyebrows too low.

Dysport: that is the standard dose for treating the forehead. The actual volume depends on how the product was reconstituted.
