Boney growth: It is impossible to reassure you because I can't see or touch this described growth. You need to have a MD do an physical examination to make that determination.

Growth : No, it is not serious. It could b e a bony growth, a fibrous cyst of fibroma. If it does not get any bigger do nothing further. However if you are still worried or it is growing in size let a doctor look at it to put your mind at rest
